2021-2022 Class Information:

Due to the still present Covid issues, we will not be bringing children into a classroom in the immediate future and will only do so when it is deemed safe. It would be very difficult for the building to be safely cleaned between the hours when the St. Mary School is in session, and when Religious Education Class would begin. Here is what we have planned:

Children with Special Needs: Please call the office and we will discuss how we can help your child with their Religious Education needs.

Grades 1 and 2 will be using the same "Blessed" program we have used in the past. First Grade focuses on Reconciliation and Second Grade focuses on the Eucharist. Books will be distributed and children in these grades will also watch animated stories on-line that go along with the book - parents will work with them on this. More information about receiving First Reconciliation and First Eucharist will be sent to parents.

Grades 3, 4 & 7 will be using Our Sunday Visitor's "Alive in Christ" series. Our catechists will be making videos which will be viewed once a month to help the child with the course work.

Grades 5 & 6 will be receiving folders with their work and lessons inside. Our catechists will be making videos which will be viewed once a month to help the child with the course work.

We feel it is necessary to connect with the children in our Religious Education program. Therefore, we will be having limited classes with the children during the year. Our classes will take place in the Church and will have a maximum of 50 students so that we can follow all Covid safety procedures.

Grades 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will meet ONE time in person this year.

Grades 2 and 7 will meet TWO times in person this year.

Grade 8 will meet THREE times in person prior to Confirmation which will take place in the Fall. Additional information for Confirmation and Retreat dates will be given to parents separately. **Please note that there is only a $100 Confirmation Fee for the 8th graders.

Registration Process:

  1. Parents should print and fill out the registration form and include payment. Registration forms can be mailed in or dropped off in our mailbox outside of the FFE office in the White House located at the end of Harrison Avenue.

  2. After registration form is sent in, go to our website and click on the link for "SignUpGenius" under your child's grade level to choose the date and time of the class that you want for your child.

Please register as soon as you can so we know how many students to expect. We will arrange book pick-up dates and times starting in August. Moving forward, all communication will be sent via our Remind app and e-mail. Please be sure you are signed up for our Remind program- the instructions can be found on our website.

**PLEASE NOTE All grades must attend a minimum of 20 Masses. Attendance will be tracked by either coupons (found in baskets in the Church or Auditorium) or by e-mails received.
